Ithaca Flues 4E Restock, 20 Gauge

This 20 gauge 4E came to the shop with metal that had been refinished at an unknown shop.  Though the casehardening colors were well done, much of the metal had severely warped.  This caused mechanical and cosmetic issues including forend fit, ejector malfunctioning and other problems.  We were able to straighten all of the warped parts and return the gun back to proper appearance and mechanical functioning.  At the client's request we converted the gun to a straight grip stock with a proper long tang triggerguard.  The original forend wood was also broken at the rear where it meets the forend iron on both sides.  It had previously been repaired with opaque epoxy in this area, we removed the epoxy and replaced it with wood resulting in an invisible repair.  The forend was then completely restored to original condition.
